July 6-12, 2025, Killeen FUMC sent 4 youth and 5 adults to Edna, TX with UM Army.  Those people included Brandy Boudreaux, Flora Belmonte, Eric Madrid, Spencer Madrid, Foster Ricciardi, Beau Ricciardi, Jeff Bain, David Erickson and Yvonne Smith.

The 9 of us went with different gifts and expertise and accomplished many things.  While there the youth and adults participated in serving the community of Edna, TX while sleeping and eating at Edna FUMC.  The city of Edna welcomed us with open arms, even displaying “Edna, TX  Welcomes U.M. Army” on the theater marquis and the City Hall digital sign.  

We started and ended each day with worship with the theme of being “Rooted” in Christ.  Then 8 teams of youth with adult volunteers went out and worked on homes in Edna.  They constructed ramps, built decks, replaced siding, painted houses, cleaned up yards from debris from previous damage, worked with sheet rock and flooring, as well as a few projects around the church to include repainting the iron cross and flames outside of the church.

All in all it was a successful mission trip, everyone left with a sense of accomplishment, along with being very tired from all the hard work.
