Our goal is to offer an opportunity for everyone to participate in a small group setting whose function is to be in mission and ministry to our community and world at large. You don’t need to be a member of FUMC or attend any church to participate!
If you are interested in any of the following small groups contact Rev. David McMinn or fill out this survey
The Real People
Seeking imperfect people of all ages who are interested in spiritual growth and fellowship with other seekers searching for better understanding, stronger personal faith, and relationship to Christ. Participants of The Real People need only to believe in God and be willing to confidentially share their experiences and wisdom while being open to the opinions of other group members. The goal is to open our eyes to everyday opportunities to witness for Christ by our example at our workplace, in the community, with friends and with strangers. Many Real People are already in unconventional ministries whether through their business, social, civic, or volunteer activities, but they just don’t realize it. The group will be relaxed and laid back and will have evening meetings in homes twice a month. There will be prayer, sharing, fellowship and study material to help expand our ideas and our ministries. Facilitated by Cyd West, Nancy Schulte and Jordan Lohse
Son N’ Fun
Would you be interested in spending time in prayer combined with a game night too? Then Son N’ Fun is just for you! This small group ministry will provide a time for your personal reflection, a time to spend sharing your joys, concerns, fears, tears, prayers, spiritual fellowship and of course, Bunco. There may be refreshments too! You don’t have to know how to play Bunco. Lessons will be included in this evening of fun. The “Son N’ Fun” small group will meet once a month in the Church. Facilitated by Patricia Vassuar and Bev Tuggle

Starting date to be announced soon. Facilitated by Jackie Steedly-Jones
Bridging the Gap
Our study will focus on what makes major world religious faiths different from Christianity and how to celebrate the similarities with Christianity. The study will provide a basic understanding and ‘jumping off point’ for dialoguing with people of other faiths. We will focus on major faiths for this study (e.g. Islam, Judaism, etc) and not address the numerous numbers and types of cults that exist today. We will use Pastor Adam Hamilton’s book “Christianity and World Religions” as the basis for this study but not limit ourselves to just this reference. Additionally, we will try to arrange guest speakers from other faiths. There will be prayer, sharing, fellowship as a part of our study on Wednesday evenings. Facilitated by Pete Elstad
Family as Ministry
This Small Group seeks to minister to families by exploring what Biblical principals can offer us as members of a family. This is a study for the entire family: parents, kids and youth. What does the Bible say about how we can better fulfill our roles as members of a family? Can we fulfill our roles as spouses, parents, and children in a way that makes our family relationships not only more prosperous, but also makes our family into a ministry to our friends and neighbors? Facilitated by Keith and Holly Smith
