Children’s Activities
Sunday School
The Fort Hood community gives the Central Texas area a significant transient population where families often come and go quickly. We live in a world where you may have friends that you may never meet face-to-face. Our Sunday School program is designed to build relationships. We want our children to develop strong bonds with other children, Christian adults and most importantly with God through Jesus Christ.
Our classes are small, making it easier for the teachers to get to know the children under their care. The children will see God’s love through the examples of these amazing volunteers. They are encouraged to develop Godly friends through strong relationships with the children in their class. We also encourage them to invite other children to attend Sunday School and all of our exciting events. We believe that by building strong relationships and by planting the seeds of God’s love in their hearts, we will build strong Christian children. These children will build stronger families and communities of the future, our future.
2-Years-Old (Room 108)
This is a class for hands-on Bible learning through puppets, games, crafts and stories.
This class builds the foundation to a life-long love of Jesus Christ and love for Sunday School. It is a great place for little ones to learn about God away from home.
3s, 4s and Pre-Kindergarteners (Room 101)
If your little one turns three prior to Sept. 1, they can join us that fall.
This class follows the school system ages so they will have life-long friends in Sunday School with them. Watch your children come to know the truths about…
God’s love; Sharing with others; Caring for others; Listening to parents; Trusting in God
Kindergarteners and 1st Graders (Room 204)
As the children experience the Scriptures through active learning, they build a relationship with Jesus Christ in a real and relevant way. Our classes are designed to be hands-on Bible learning.
2nd and 3rd Graders (Room 209 )
The Bible is the manual for life.
Our kids learn how to use their Bible and that it will prepare them to care for others who are less fortunate. They will also begin to learn about their Methodist heritage.
4th and 5th Graders (Room 205)
Talking about the tough issues our kids face today is just one thing we do in this age group. The “tweens” sessions are designed specifically to help them get ready for life as a Christian youth. They explore scripture to experience how it applies to them in today’s world.
Children’s Church Service (Room 101)
Children’s Church is available for children 3 years old through 1st grade during the 8:45 and 11:00 worship services on Sundays except for the first Sunday of each month which is Communion Sunday. This is a great opportunity for children to experience worship on their own levels. However, if your little one just can’t make it through the service, you can bring them to the Nursery for some fun. Children’s Church teaches God’s truths through crafts, devotions and multi-media shows. Our trained workers ensure that Children’s Church is a meaningful experience of fun and Biblical truth. Activity folders are available in the foyers for children who attend worship services with their families.
Nursery (Room 110)
A nursery is provided during Sunday School, worship services and for church meetings and gatherings. We understand safety is a big concern for your littlest family member.
As you enter the room, you will be asked to fill out a label and sign a class roster.
Only a parent or guardian is permitted to pick up a child. We also have pagers available so we can reach you quickly when our little friend needs you. If you don’t hear from us, you can rest assured your child is happy and having fun! Relax and rejuvenate during worship!
