David graduated from Tulane University with majors in History and Classical Studies. From there he attended Seminary at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth, Texas. In June 2011 Davids was ordained as an elder in full connection with the United Methodist Church. David is also a candidate for the Army Chaplaincy and hopes to be an Army Chaplain by 2012.
Reverend McMinn’s home church is First United Methodist Church, Azle, Texas. He has served as an elder in the church since 2007, and was first called to the ministry during high school. Davide is passionate about helping the church become missional in focus and strives to live out Micah 6:8, “And waht does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. ”
David married his lovely wife Michelle in 2008. They have one child, Sophie, who was born in June, 2011. Currently they live in Harker Heights with their two dogs Caroline and Sir Francis Drake.
